Iran, Turkey officials hold friendship meeting in Istanbul
TEHRAN- A meeting focused on the friendship and cooperation between Iran and Turkey took place in Istanbul, featuring a message from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who praised the enduring relationship between the two nations.
As reported by IRNA, this gathering, held in a hotel located in Istanbul's ?i?li district on Saturday, was organized to honor Pezeshkian, who assumed the presidency of Iran last month.
Pezeshkian’s message emphasized that the relationship between Iran and Turkey has achieved an acceptable level of stability, which has been maintained despite various domestic, regional, and international challenges over the years.
Pezeshkian attributed this stability to the numerous shared interests and the rich historical ties between the two countries.
Additionally, a message from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was presented during the meeting. Erdogan congratulated Pezeshkian on his recent electoral victory and expressed his hopes for the prosperity of the Iranian people.
Erdogan also conveyed confidence that the collaboration between Tehran and Ankara will continue to strengthen throughout Pezeshkian's presidency.
